It was the day before our Bangkok trip, and it was promised between my friends and I that we would meet up early at the KLIA2 Airport since our flight is at the crack of dawn.
Rushing home after a studio crit, I frantically packed my bags and rushed to the airport from Shah Alam. On the way, I picked up a friend who lived in Sunway since we're going the same route. The highway was dark and luckily we made it before 3am, with a few hours to spare before boarding, all thanks to my brother's GTA driving skills.
One of my friends had already arrived earlier at 12am and was waiting by Entrance 3, which we walked over, the gates were in linear line and so, is easy to find her sitting by the closed shop. We spent the next few hours waiting for our other friends' arrival, walking along and exploring the airport. It has a clean and concessive flow, making everything clear with the flight information board at the center.
Nearing 5 AM, as my friends and I rush to the check-in counter as we sorted our luggage for check-in and walked to our assigned gate which is quite a distance away. We passed by a few travelators which assists on the long trek and a few scenery to our gate. Before long, we met up with our other classmates in the waiting lounge. Some opted to hunt for food which is luckily that there are stores nearby inside the departure hall. At 5:55 AM, we're boarding the flight and I've managed to get a window seat. It was dark out with only the rain as a stain.
By 6:35 AM on April 28th, we were airborne, leaving Kuala Lumpur behind and heading towards our destination, Bangkok, Thailand. It's a 2 hour flight which is a short time. It was a wonder to see the scenery changing from night to day, and seeing Thailand from an aerial view. One thing I've observed from the sky is that the building has a very systematic look, it has a clear grid line from the roads and the buildings that are similar are clustered together.
Stay tuned to read the start of the journey in Day 1!
